The Hunt for the Killer - Finally!

A glimpse of hope for finding Justice for JonBenet Ramsey

On the 25th anniversary of the murder of JonBenet Ramsey Boulder Police Department announced they would be checking into the feasibility of conducting a Forensic Genetic Genealogy Search (FGGS) to develop a lead in finding the killer. Clearly the focus of the investigation is no longer on the Ramsey family (it actually has not been for quite some time). The CORAfiles (index below) document the story of the advancement of DNA technology in this case leading up to this historic announcement. There is still hope for finding Justice for JonBenet.

CORA Files

The CORAfiles is a series of documents obtained through the Boulder District Attorney’s Office from a request under the Colorado Open Records Act. Believed to be the same files obtained by the Daily Camera and 9News at the core of their DNA in Doubt Story and as reported about the time of the 20th anniversary of the murder of JonBenet Ramsey in December 2016.

Included in the CORAfiles are Investigative Memos from the Office of the 20th Judicial District Attorney that provide a narrative of the development of the Investigation of the Intruder Theory DNA evidence under Mary Lacy’s tenure. The CORAfiles contain certain documents from the Boulder Police Department specific to lab work requested from and tested by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Denver Crime Lab. All reports are relevant to DNA evidence in the JonBenet Ramsey Case.
