Boulder Search Warrants

  • First Boulder Search Warrant: 12-26-96 for Ramsey premises and vehicles in Boulder. A transcribed version including photos of various items taken is at acandyrose.com (web page).
  • Second Boulder Search Warrant (Unsealed). "a Boulder judge signed yet another warrant Dec. 26 -- the day 6-year-old JonBenet's body was discovered in her parents' basement -- for a still publicly undisclosed property in Boulder County. The Michigan warrants are sealed indefinitely [''editor's note: these 2 warrants subsequently were unsealed by a Michigan judge'']; the last remaining Boulder County warrant won't come open until an arrest is made in the child beauty queen's slaying -- if an arrest is ever made. The mystery Boulder warrant gets a veiled reference in the motion that Boulder District Attorney appellate deputy Bill Nagel filed Sept. 25, in which Nagel said his office no longer opposed releasing most of the contents of warrants and affidavits relating to searches at the Ramseys' Boulder home. 'Several people in addition to police and the victim's family are mentioned in the documents,' Nagel wrote in a phrase that was footnoted: 'See, e.g., Item A dated 12/26/96.' 'Item A,' according to Boulder district attorney's spokeswoman Suzanne Laurion, is the mystery warrant."
  • Third Boulder Search Warrant: 12-27-96 for Ramsey house in Boulder. A transcribed version is at Jameson's Webbsleuths (web page).
  • Fourth Boulder Search Warrant: 12-29-96 for Ramsey house in Boulder. A transcribed version is at Jameson's Webbsleuths (web page).
  • Fifth Boulder Search Warrant: 1-30-97 for permission to search already seized computer equipment for evidence of pornographic materials. Note that most of the substance of the first 3 Boulder search warrants are contained in this search warrant. A transcribed version is at Jameson's Webbsleuths (web page).

  • The CourtTV site contains the following disclaimer which is presumably part of this settlement: "On November 5, 1999, Court TV telecast a program entitled "Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey? Prime Suspects." In that program, Court TV did not intend in any way to suggest that Burke Ramsey had any involvement in the murder of his sister, JonBenet. To the contrary, the discussion of Burke Ramsey was intended to convey to the viewers that the participants in the program did not believe that Burke Ramsey should be considered a suspect. In this connection, the program acknowledged that, in May of 1999, Boulder County District Attorney Alexander M. Hunter publicly released a statement that officially stated that Burke Ramsey was not a suspect in connection with the murder of his sister."
